No but its easier to digest so they don't need the assistance of the grit.

Grit is so cheap and lasts forever, it will never hurt to give them some. Conversely if they aren't finding suitable grit outdoors they're not going to be digesting their feed and browse as effectively as they should. $7 is well worth some peace of mind IMO.

Thank you! I will buy them grit just in case. Our feed store has it. Can they start having poultry grit instead of chick grit? They are 7 weeks.
