Do my ducks have wet feather?

They look fine to me..They are a bit older than 3 months and have just gone through a juvenile molt..Note the tail curl and full green heads..They are still adjusting their wings because the flight feathers are growing in..Do not bath them or treat for parasites ....Let them swim in the kiddie pool..Possibly a bit ratty looking because older Drakes were putting the run on them...

I'm worried that they get out of the pool and are soaked through. They then spend ages trying to preen and dry themselves, but they don't seem to go to their oil gland very much. Also, my older duck wasn't like this when he was their age. In the original picture they were fairly dry - I'll try to get a picture of them when they're soaked.
The constant feather twitching isn't something I've come across before. Could this be them trying to warm up?

You never raised these Ducks..I honestly do not think anything is wrong..Yes, young Ducks do hold more water and do preen their chests more..They take a few swipes at the oil gland and that's about it..I have rescued many Ducks in worse condition than yours are...I wish they all came looking and acting as healthy as yours are....

Thanks for your encouraging words of advice! I'll give them a quick check for mites and if they're clean I'll see what the next week brings. How long would you expect it to take for their feathers to become fully waterproof if they have free access to a pond?

What exact feathers are you worried about?...The chest and belly feathers?...

Healthy Ducks do not suffer from external parasites...they bath and preen too often..All rescues I have taken in have never had internal or external parasites..Overcrowding can cause it and location but even then it's a drop in the hat...

Also when they start to splash water on their backs it runs off slightly by the base of their neck but all other feathers just absorb the water

I've just taken a few pics after just a few splashes you can see how the feathers around the base of the neck look 'shiny' and wet.
