Do my ducks have wet feather?

I'm feeding them specialist duck food mixed with a bit of cracked corn. I've also given them some Cale and mealworms. They get well fed with me but I can't vouch for what they were eating last week at their previous owners. I have cats too and they have quite expensive food but I'll give it a go with the ducks!

Will they still grow new feathers as we're in Winter in UK?

I'm sure a molt will do them great - it's just quite a lot time to wait!

Glad to see 007SEAN say about using the dawn soap not a good idea When a few of my older Muscovy's got wet feather molting always took care of it. Try adding some extra protein to their diet good quality cat kibble is one way. Are you feeding a good diet? then add the cat kibble over top as extra protein to help their feathers.

You have one very informed educator giving you great advise please follow her lead.

You don't have to feed them a lot of cat food, just a small handful as a treat... the extra protein and fats in it should help and give them a boost... continue with their regular feed, watch about giving too much corn though... corn is ok as a small treat, but it is empty calories...

:goodpost:Mine love cat food treats!

I'll give the cat food a go - will sprinkle a small handful in their feed tray. I used to have a small flexi bucket they could use for bathing but I threw it away recently...I'll take a trip to DIY store tomorrow and get a new one.

Hope my older duck doesn't fall out with me for taking the big pond away!

No, he will happily bath in anything...
