Do people always forget your name?

DD#1 has an unusual first name, short and sharp- people are constantly calling her Katie or Key or Katherine- everything that starts with the letter K except her name.

Harrell is my maiden name. It is NOT Her-ell either!

My first name is Shelby. Like the mustang. It is not Shelly, Sheila or Sheryl. The weirdest one I got was Hashby.

My last name is Barker. Not Baker or Parker.

There are Herrells in the next county over from me and Harrells where I live. If you trace the name back far enough they came from the same family od Harrells. But of course we have brothers here who are Nicelys and Nicleys.

My name is Amber... not Amanda. I'll probably answer to it though. Or Shelly... (a nickname that comes from my middle name Rachelle)

My name is Lia (lee-uh) For some reason those 3 little letters confuse the heck out of people. I get Lisa constantly and Lynn ,Lee, Lisel and LeeAnne. Even had a bank call me once and ask me if i was misspelling my name on my checks. They were convinced Lia wasnt a real name

Well mine is Alex.. unless it's my family from Oklahoma then it's Alec.. or worse my Grandmother who still to this day has to use my full name...Alexander. I wont even go into the slew of nick names from cousins or uncles lol some were nice and well you know family

I heard that Harrols and O'Harol's (spelling?) are also part of the original clan as well...from what appears to be predominantly Ireland.

My family originates from Arkansas and Tennessee where the name appears to be popular. Out here in the west it is rare...and so is the correct pronunciation. You'd think with Woody Harrellson, they'd pronounce it correctly.

Did you know that there is a Harrell, Arkansas? I thought that was cool (albeit completely useless information

).

People misspell my name often. I resort to "It's Angel with an -a on the end." But I have gotten, Anglea, Angelia, Angele, Angeles (gah), and then there are total strangers who insist on calling me 'Angie' usually as I am walking away from them in total frustration.

Urgh.

I'm Diana... as in Diana, not Diane... Almost everyone who meets me ends up saying Diane, even better is how people will say "Hi Diane..." in reponse to an EMAIL sent from DIANA and signed DIANA.

My name is (NETTIE) not betty freddy teddy nitty eddy. Oh and Nellie that one gets my feathers ruffled.Nellie from little house on the prairie she was a mean girl LOL. Well its short for Antoinette but eveyones call me Nettie.

My mom's name is Chezlee. Not Chelsea. When she gets the deer in headlights look, she usually just tells them to call her C.C. (her middle name starts with a C as well).
