Do Roman Tuft Geese have gaps in their caps?

We purchased a roman tuft goose female as a mate for our single male goose, I don't want them breeding if the roman tuft geese have deformities like crested ducks

I don’t know if they do or not, if no one else chimes in here you could always email Metzer Farms, they breed Roman tufted geese and might know.

No. I read somewhere that they do not have the gaps and it is perfectly safe to breed them. Wish I could remember where.

Maybe you could start a new breed called the Roman Crowned.

They do not, thankfully! I breed Roman Tufted and it's perfectly safe!
