Do these ducks look good?

ide be all over it. ide love it. but here you cant give drakes away
That’s a shame.

as in no one wants them in the spring
But you could breed them in spring to get some ducklings.. but I suppose they don’t lay, and people may just want ducks for eggs so that may be the problem.

The Pekins are dirty and in poor feather. But part of that may be age.
And over crowding and lack of bathing.
The ducks are definitely in poor condition, that’s most places that sell birds in bulk numbers. It’s usually quite smelly at places that have lots of poultry. Sadly most places I’ve got my ducks have had this. Luckily the ducks were healthy after quarantine. And I usually wash new birds as I don’t like them having droppings on them, and being dirty.

New ducks also take a while to get used to eating the different feed. I always watch the new ducks behaviours to see if they are sick or not.

Usually ducks like pekins get sold for $20-25 each.
Female muscovies are $20-35 each.
Muscovy drakes $30-75 each.
Muscovy ducklings $15 each.

Ducks are quite expensive, even the most common ones.
It’s hard to relate prices from my area as no one would pay $30 for a Muscovy let alone $75. Most males here are given away for free because they cause so much trouble with the rest of the flock. Ducks by nature are happiest when they are muddy so it’s hard to tell if they just got waddling through the mud or not. I’d say if there are some you are interested in, go for it and quarantine is an excellent idea.
