Do u think roos or pullets

Thank you.
We try our best. My girls and I are all animal lovers . Gonna be hard to say goodbye to these ones
Hopefully can get good temperaments for the next ones (should/ when) we get more
We love our animals here, too. However, on the first day with chickens, my Sensei told me that I need to do what is best for the flock, rather than only for an individual chicken. That was nearly 10 years ago.

I see chickens as multiples or groups now, and work with them as an aggregate or, if there are groups, in their groups (sometimes called harems).

Dealing with the males is probably the most difficult part of having chickens.

With experience, you will be able to pick some sweet pullet chicks.

I’m glad the toy poodle likes the chicks. I have needed to keep dogs away from the chickens. These dogs are big, and we needed to build them out. Our dog is a notorious egg-eater.

We built a secure run. Now, I am only dealing with possums and maybe an owl.
Wouldn't trust the great dane with them that's for sure. But the poodle is pretty good. He tries to herd them back to their cage if they come up towards the house.
Otherwise he likes them.
Occasionally he pushes them with his nose but they peck him and he backs off lol. They even jump on him and he doesn't do anything which is good. Wouldn't trust him by himself though just in case
