Do you color your hair?

Really?

Well when I was in Indonesia, I dyed my hair a couple of times. The last time I dyed it, it was something red/brown. But now, since I am in the States, I long to have my black hair back, because that's what I really am

Since hair keeps growing of-course, my hair is somehow a mixed of red/brown and black. From the root to down my ears is black, and the rest down to my back is red/down. Not the kind of color I want. And I don't want to have my hair cut!

I naturally have brown hair really. No greys, I'm on 23. But it bleaches in the sun really easily so everyone thought I was a blonde. It was down to my bum so had seen many summers to bleach!

That was until I got my head shaved for charity this year! Now everyone thinks I keep dying it brown, but I got shaved at the start of winter, so I was wearing beanies and then got in indoors job so it hasn't had a proper chance to see the sun yet!

Through the 7 years I've been dying I have had:

Orange hair (not red head actually ORANGE)
Auburn
Chocolate brown
Red bangs (proper red!)
blonde streaks
blue streaks
Hot pink
Purple
Black hair

I think I've liked being bald the most! Seriously considering getting shaved again but kinda want hair for my wedding! A bald bride would look weird! lol

I'm also pretty keen to get dreadlocks... But I'll have to wait till some more hair grows to start that!!

no way,never will do either.
mine is currently a thickish skin head ginger/red colour, have it shaved off for sensory reasons.
have never understood the point in dyeing hair as its doing it for other peoples view, and it does not make sense why people physicaly change themselves for others-dyeing hair, using makeup, purposely getting a sun tan or going into a tanning salon to get one,or using fake tan...
humans think far to much of what others think of them physicaly in own view.

I'd say if you 'cringe when you walk by a mirror' then why not color it? If it will lift your spirits, brighten your day, then go for it. I use the kind that only takes 10 minutes (there are a couple of them) and then you don't have a lot of time invested and it doesn't seem like a major project.

I do not like my natural hair color

I think I looked better with my dirty blonde hair lol but it had to turn dark brown...I'm a guy so I wouldn't dye my hair

I've been going white since I was six years-old (probably hormone related, have a lot of issues with those darn things). I have a shock of white hairs in one clump in particular. Never dyed them and actually like them. Feels very Rogue from X-men. XD

I have relatives who obsessively pluck any white hair that emerges. I embrace the natural process of aging, and am not terrified of death like many I know are, so maybe that is part of why they do not bother me. In the wild, aging tends to be a badge of sexiness for many species. A 'you survived where others did not, so let's make new generations together' sort of thing. Or a 'you are too slow to hunt these days, but please tell us how it's done you old experienced thing you" sort of deal. I know a lot of female biologists and naturalists who have thick braids of long salt and pepper hair, and I just love the look. Doesn't mean I won't dye my hair. I never have thus far, but if I ever finish a complete novel and get it published, I'm celebrating by going from natural hair to something like hot pink and spiky 80s style for a while. XD I really don't care if other people dye their hair or not, even though I chose not to hide my white hairs. I have no age limit on when people 'should stop dying their hair'. It's your hair!

I have red hair (more like auburn). I love my natural color, but also like to play with other colors in my hair. Right now I have bright red and blonde highlights in my hair and am thinking of going totally bright red, with a few blonde highlights.

I dyed my hair orange before. It looked very natural even though it was BRIGHT orange LOL!!

Then I got my hair done a strawberry blonde and it was so awesome!! That was done in TX by a professional. Up here where I live now, hair people are scary, some of the things they do to my grandma's hair is crazy and it doesn't look so grand.

Right now my hair is it's natural dirty blonde state with a bit of highlights from the sun. It will get more darker during the long, cold winter (boo!!).

I have been coloring my hair for years. I got tired of doing it myself so I go to the salon every other month and let her do it. I am 51 and don't like gray hair.

I'm turning 49 next month and have been coloring my hair since I was 16. My hair was naturally a dark brown, but now I have quite a bit of gray that is actually coming in white. I am a member of the "color of the month club." I do it myself and pick any color that strikes my fancy or DH's fancy at the time of purchase. My hair is still very healthy and I will continue doing this until I go out with a toe tag. It's the one thing on my body that is easy to change and it makes me feel better about myself.
