I’ve had dreams about chickens, and seen them pop up in dreams that have nothing to with chickens. Never nightmares, though.

I have the stranger dreams. I have a fear of foxes ever since Wobbles, my chicken with a missing right (my view) eye and deformed skull WITH scissor beak or crooked beak. Many other chickens have been lost due to foxes during this summer. We lost a good rooster that I was given as a little baby. But, it wasn’t a fox. It was a Racoon that got him. a Racoon.

Oh my goodness YES. Not chickens but ducks. It's gotten better now that I've had them for a while but when I first got them, specifically when my first pair had eggs and we were going to get our first ducklings. The night terrors were awful!

Just last week I dreamt that I forgot about my broody pen and the hen went without food and water for ages. And sometimes I wake up at night thinking I've heard a chicken scream. Once I wake up more, I realise I only imagined it.

Glad I'm not the only nutcase around here

A while ago I had a dream that involved me accidentally processing the wrong rooster. Instead of killing the sickly one, I killed the healthy, closer to standard one that I really wanted to breed. Needless to say, when I processed in reality, I definitely double checked which birds I grabbed!
