Depends on who has the remote, lol.

We no longer have a kitchen table because we moved to a house with a small kitchen. We moved to this house with a larger one but have yet to get a table again.

So most of the time, we eat dinner in the living room.

If my dad has the remote, sports are on. Since in not a fan of sports, often I will eat upstairs on my bedroom.

We all usually work together making dinner though, so we do have plenty of time to chat.

Interesting topic. The day before Thanksgiving, I was chatting to one of my DD's friends on FB. When I told her I was going home to bake some pies for the next day, she asked if she could come over and help me. It was actually kind of weird because my kids were with their dad that evening but their friend came over to help me bake pies and we had a nice chat while we worked. I asked about her plans for Thanksgiving and she said the whole family was going to a local restaurant for their buffet and this is what they do every year for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. She then went on to say this was the first time she had seen pastry made and the first time she'd made any kind of pie from scratch. Her family always goes back to their house after the dinner, to pull a frozen pie out of the freezer and eat that! This girl was 13 years old! I wound up feeling really sorry for her, to have never had a home-cooked turkey dinner and for all her memories to be of holiday dinners in a crowded restaurant!

Uggg, I'm in the 3% that dont. Most nights DH doesnt get home until 7 or later. Try making a teenage boy wait that long to eat. Even if he snacks when he gets home, I have to feed the beast by 6 or watch out! Sometimes though DH gets home earlier and we get to eat together.

I did not vote, because there is no button for ALWAYS!
All food is home cooked from home raised, hunted and carefully purchased whole foods. Never any processed foods.
Not a fan of what our modern electronic culture has done to family.

Always, except on the VERY rare occasion that either of the girls are not there. We very rarely eat out too. There are NO good restaurants here.

For years of dh being a LEO and working evening shift/midnight shift..we only ate together on weekends..after semi retiring our priority was as many meals together as possible.
