Yes! All heaters are hanging over the side of the brooder. All the heat lamps I always had were all plug in ones. Just put the brooder near a plug, that's what I did.

also, if it says the coop can't be within 35 feet of the neighbors residence due to noise, will it still apply if your neighbors say it is ok if they ARE within 35 feet?

if the neighbours are ok with it, i would say who would tell the official chicken boundary line checkers??? If everyone is in agreement with where your coop is, no laws would be being broken as you can't have a crime with no victim.

Who would tell.... Maybe a different neighbor, maybe that neighbor if later they change their mind or get upset with you, maybe a codes enforcer that is in the area for something else, maybe someone that cant have chickens because theyre following the rules and are jealous that you arent. You never know.
No crime no victim..... Ya try to use that in court and see how it works. If i was in possession of drugs there would be no victim but its still a crime. If I lived in town and wanted to shoot my gun into the ground in my backyard there would be no victim but still a crime. Tons of examples of crimes without victims out there.
You may get away with it but if you want to try just do it and know youre breaking the law. People knowingly break laws everyday. Thats up to you but youre not going to argue your way out of it if you end up in court.
Its risk vs reward. If you want to go for it go for it.

Stay where you are or find a place you can take them with you. I love my chickens too and there is no way I would move somewhere I couldn't have them with me. A little like having children and moving to a house that is advertised for rent but no kids allowed. I just wouldn't even look at that place, never mind consider moving in

If you really must depart from your chickens why not try going to a chicken swap organised by a BYC member? -At least that way you know they'll be getting a good home. Just type 'chicken swap' in the search bar
