Yes! All heaters are hanging over the side of the brooder. All the heat lamps I always had were all plug in ones. Just put the brooder near a plug, that's what I did.

also, if it says the coop can't be within 35 feet of the neighbors residence due to noise, will it still apply if your neighbors say it is ok if they ARE within 35 feet?
if the neighbours are ok with it, i would say who would tell the official chicken boundary line checkers??? If everyone is in agreement with where your coop is, no laws would be being broken as you can't have a crime with no victim.
