Do you leave messages?

Most of the time, I do leave a message. I know what you're talking about when someone calls you repeatedly. I've got a couple of calls like that, and they never leave a message. Its kind of annoying, to say the least.

My friend across the street, will call me. If I'm busy, I don't pick it up. Then she calls my sisters phone. And then my Moms phone. And then texts me. Then texts my sister. If I don't answer the phone or her texts, she'll call me and my family and text me and my sister repeatedly. And she doesn't bother to leave a message. NEVER. Not once. It drives me crazy. Ohh, and did I mention, after calling and texting everyone in my family she comes and bangs on my door? And if we don't answer it, she will stay there, for 5 to 10 minutes. She is COMPLETELY ANNOYING!!!

It depends...if it is just a random question with no real importance, I'll hang up and call back later. If it is something that I need a response to, I'll leave a message.

Personally, I don't answer random numbers since they are typically looking for money or wanting me to take a survey. I will make every effort to answer a call from someone I know though. Our phones have a nice feature in that the ring will be different if the call is coming from a recognized number, so I know quickly if I need to wipe my hands off or something to catch the call.

I rarely leave messages, and I rarely call people back - bad, bad communications skills!

If it is a business call, I leave a message. If it is a personal call, I don't. That is not to say some people don't have strange messages on their phones from me...I have a two year old who has been known to make phone calls while Mommy sings, or reads...

Our chicken proccesing place, sledoms anseewsers the phone. They are busy cleaning chickens. Goverment food inspector is there inspecting the chickens.. Nothing funny bout the place, they are just busy, they always call back earlier moring or late night, before things get started up there..

People put their number so you can call and leave a message, when their busy..

Kind've like when you send an email, people resond when they have time. i respond most days at 5am.. lol love email..

Depends on what i'm calling for...
If its business related,(MY job), yes i always leave a message.
If its someone like my mother,.. no i just try to call back later..usually.
If i try to call a business..like a farm, to ask about a product,(meat, veggies,..they have for sale) then NO, i dont leave a message...
If you are a business and put your number/product out there for people to call about, i would expect them to answer the phone. IF they didnt answer the phone after i called a few times,... i wouldnt bother with them again. They would seem kinda shady to me and i would lose interest and take my business elsewhere.... IMO
I would think, "WHY would they put their number out for people to call and NOT answer their phone?".... Must be hiding from the bill collectors or disgruntled consumers..lol

I didn't know then till I left a message though. It's only been over the years I've noticed they don't anserew.

Although maybe I just liked them cause there machine starts with a rooster crowing, love it!!

Red, people like you are exactly why I ALWAYS answered my phone. Morning, Noon, Night, you got me. I might have been asleep, I might have been in the shower, but I answered.

Em, now addicted to having her phone on at all times.
