DO YOU LET YOUR GIRLS GO OUT IN THE RAIN?

Yep. They dont care and are actually built to take it. What you must do, is eliminate standing water and mud in their living areas

That's what my problem with all the rain is the mud! I've decided to put some round stepping stones and a couple of logs for them to stand on inside the tractor. I also cover the tractor with a tarp now more for me than them, it helps keep the food dry! But I do worry about their feet.

They are indeed built for withstanding the rain, however, I do not like what 32 soaking wet birds do to my coop in regard to adding lots of moisture in the air. I have great ventilation and fans, however, they sure can raise the humidity in the coop when they've been playing out in the rain!

wow I never thought about that! what a mess

Our Chickens like the Rain, and get lots of chances to play in it.

Ducks and Geese love it, and will lay out in a downpour happy as a duck I guess.

Turkeys, well they run for cover at the first hint of water falling from the sky. I haven't tried yet, but I would guess the sprinkler will send them skattering.

I give mine the choice to go outside if they want to. I open the door and if they want to get soaking wet then I let them.

Though most of the time they stay in the coop and only come out to get a drink or just to see whats going on. I like to keep the heat lamp on to help them dry faster.
