Do you like going to the thrift store?

My latest find was an LLBean fleece winter jacket for $4 and a Columbia pullover for $2. I also got 3 different pairs of tall jeans. The most expensive one was $3. I can't find tall jeans at the regular stores that don't cost and arm and a leg.​

Our local ones don't have a thing in my size that I would wear (most petite clothes there are granny styled), but I have a deep love for depression glass, and I've found a few pieces there to round out what I have.

I LOVE thrift stores and can give you the pros and cons of all the thrift stores in a 40 mile radius.

I get my duck towels at thrift stores. They will just get pooped on, so why pay full price?

I adore thrift stores..but I hate going with someone who does not, or worse, someone who loves them more than I do! When I'm ready to go, it is time to GO. lol

And the "poop shoes" I wear up to the coop are great rubber boots with a great tread on them - $3.00 from Goodwill.

I can ALWAYS find great quality, lightly used clothes for DH, but nice clothes in my size (plus size) are hard to find at thrift stores. I guess fat women buy cheaper clothes and keep them longer

When we lived in Omaha, there was a small resale shop (not quite as cheap as a thrift shop) I found where some lady who was my size but obviously a snazzy dresser with $$$ donated her very well made but very lightly worn clothes...like a summer weight wool pantsuit that was completely lined, that I still have 10 years later! (I don't wear it that often)

A lot depends on locations. I always check out the thrift stores in wealthier areas when I can...I am pretty sure at least Goodwill keeps the items in the store in the area where they were donated.
