Homemade/garden grown is always so much better!

I will definitely share what i end up doing! I was thinking about peaches too. Watermelons don’t seem to work at all for me :idunno
I haven’t tried peaches, and never watermelons, but I have done some peppers. With the peppergate deal last year, I ended up with peppercinis, which I did not want and so I ended up canning them. My mother does some sort of hot cinnamon and vinegar canning of watermelon rinds to snack on, it’s very interesting 🧐

Oh that’s cool! I was thinking of doing watermelon rind pickles because that seemed tasty too

I absolutely understand! Not big at all. Stuck to mainly container gardening, I would say 14 large pots and 5 gallon buckets for peppers/tomatoes and two medium sized trellis containers for cucumbers. But I said a Hail Mary did plant in a probably 5x8 area next to the drive way and had some great luck growing squash, watermelon and more cucumbers. This year I’m going to be more organized about things and not so “chaos gardener”. How about yours?
Oh, that sounds cool! I've always imagined having the plants in pots would make things easier. This year I had mainly just the usual stuff. Watermelon, musmelon, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, corn, beans, pumpkins, gourds, radishes, kale, cauliflower, broccoli, cucumbers, onions, carrots, and couple different kinds of hot peppers. Corn never turns out for me though, so I think I'll stick to buying it and save space for other stuff. My goal this year is to make the garden more organized and work harder at keeping it weed free. I have the time, it's just a matter of actually doing it Lol

Haha yea I get that, I always have such big plans, but then laziness sets in. You have a lot of stuff, how wonderful! What is musmelon? I did try 2 stalks of corn this year and got a few ears, but not good, it was more like feeder corn and ended up being chicken snacks.

Ooh okay, like a cantaloupe? I did buy some dragon tongue beans to try this year after tasting them at a farmers market during the summer. They’re so beautiful!
