Do you recognize this breed?

Well I read a bloomberg article around 2 years ago that New Yorkers were paying around that much to eat them. Supply of this melanistic breed has improved dramatically since then.

edit- The farmer was quoted its a black bird with black bones....

It's....a....chicken... A chicken... :lau I don't care if the bones were purple with orange polka dots...it's a chicken. And...even the best chicken potpie (mine:drool) isn't worth no $2500.00.:duc
 
Sorry for late answer – it was advertised as a new breed and initially was $750.

If it is b…t I prefer not to name a seller to avoid his embarrassment.

$750 for a new breed of chicken is pricey. What is this “new” chicken breed called? Are they supposed to lay green eggs? Does this breeder have a flock of these birds? Are they breeding true? If they posted on the Buy Sell Trade part of BYC maybe report this seller because they are selling mixed breeds for an exorbitant price and passing them off as a “new pure chicken breed”
