Do you say 'soda' or 'pop'?

I've never heard of a cheese toastie, and I've always lived in the midwest. BTW---POP--- grew up in Michigan.

Ok maybe its an Illinois thing or just my crazy family

I know that central Illinois is the only place you will find a horse shoe or pony shoe sandwich

I'm from Pa. When I lived in the western part, we said "pop". Then we moved to SE Pa, and said "pop" . Boy did I ever get made fun of.

Now I say "soda", but I don't drink soda, just water, juice and tea, iced and hot.

here in western new york we say pop, the rest of the state says soda. went to college in central new york was an on going debate between kids from the east and kids from the western part of the state. soda is what you use to cook with.

I grew up in Michigan and used to say "pop" until I moved to California. I still said Pop, but had so much hassle with people questioning what "pop" was that I started saying "soda" eventually.
