do you sell chicken feed? i have no clue what to do update on #16

i cant buy feed anywhere else cause my card is with my grandmother in jacksonville and she had a stroke so i have no way of getting it from her. so i was wondering if i could buy some off some here and pay them through paypal i need growers. please and thank you in advance

Online poultry stores will sell feed. It will cost you a lot to ship it though. How many chickens do you have? You can get 5lb bags of manna pro off a few sites and the shipping wouldn't be horrible but they cost almost the same as a 50lb bag.

Don't you have a checking or savings account or is a parent paying for everything off a credit card? Borrow $20 from a friend?

no im 19 and i only have a credit card and the money i made when i worked goes to that card i have 25 total 13 big chickens and 12 little i have enough layers for another month and a half i just need growers i have maybe 3 days left maybe even 4. and i called the feed store today to see if they would take a card number over the phone but no they wouldnt do that

To a ship a 50lb bag is going to cost you at least double what the feed itself does. I used to get 50lb bags of guinea pig pellets and dog food shipped to me and ups would charge around $30-$40. It's not cost effective unless you order 200lbs at once and then ups gives a huge shipping discount. You are going to spend the same amount all at once as getting months worth of feed locally.

Grower is not a requirement. Many places, like here, it's not even possible to get it without special ordering. If they are close to laying age (maybe close to 4months or older) or if it's only for a week or 2 you can feed them layer and it shouldn't cause any problems. Otherwise you can give them chick starter, gamebird, flock raiser... whatever you can get your hands on that isn't too high in calcium. Some have also fed chicks on mixtures of things like oatmeal and scrambled egg for a few days or so until they can get another bag of feed.

10 are almost 4 weeks (tomorrow) and the other 2 will be 6 weeks (thursday) i just have no idea what to do this is so hard ive never been in this situation and my older chickens dont lay enough right now to even feed them for a day in a weeks time lol

I am sure that organic is fine.

I have some starter that you can have for free. I am in Utah so it wouldn't be cheap to ship. I can ship you a box of flat rate to get you through for a while if you want.

Check out the flat rate boxes, how much they hold and decide if it's something that would make sense for you. I can ship a larger amount if you like. I have probably 10 lbs of grower that I have been planning on putting on freecycle, my girls are on layer.

Research, decide if it's something you are interested in and let me know. I can't afford to pay to send it but I won't charge you more than the shipping costs, no handling or other bogus things.

It is Purina grower stuff. I can take a pic of the bag and feed if you are interested. My girls are 26 weeks old and this was purchased about 3 months ago.... clean, dry, no rodents... whatever.

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to just go to the bank that holds your account, and withdraw cash to go and buy some feed? Or borrow $20 from family/friends with a note indicating the date on which you plan to pay them back (i.e., the date you get your card back from your Grandmother)?
