Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I may use the shredded newspaper idea after cleaning out the coop floor today after only two days. Yuck! I think I might invest in a cheap paper shredder or try to find an office nearby that would donate their paper. Its lightly raining off and on today and the girls are not showing any interest in taking refuge in the coop. I guess I'll have to trust their instincts.
