I have my 4 week olds outside in the coop for the first time tonight. there is a small window covered in screen cracked opened for ventilation but the rest of the coop is closed up. I have a heat lamp in the coop and they don't really want to sit under it, just around it. its supposed to be 65 degrees tonight. Should I bring them in? or will they be okay out there? I'm kind of freaking out! lol

If Texas weather is anything like Floridas weather I have some outside in a similar setup. They have been outside for at least a week and have been fine.

okay thanks! I just went outside again and they are sleeping and spread apart from eachother. I guess if they were too cold they would be huddled up under the lamp!

If there is a heat lamp I think they will be fine. (it is a little nervewracking their first night out though, isn't it?)

Sounds like they're fine then!

I think your chicks will be fine.65* is probably just about what they like at 4 wks. and you have the heat lamp just in case.
