Please tell me how you are teaching him. I've got a border collie puppy that I'd really like to train to herd but I don't know how! She won't hurt them and she's got incredible instincts to herd.

Serious luck! My Siberian husky will guard my ducks as long as they are in their run, but I wouldn’t expect them to last two seconds around her if there wasn’t a sturdy barrier between them and her. Her small prey instinct is just too strong and she was a street dog before being caught by the pound we adopted her from. She was skin and bones, though, so that starvation experience may be overriding her desire to please me.

I see one huge thing you are doing that I am not and that is putting the dog on a leash. Our 3 yr border collie is an absolute idiot on a leash, always pulling and acting like a total jerk. The puppy is very young and if I start her on a leash now maybe she will be trainable. Thank you for the video!
