I buy them vaccinated, and the ones I hatch idk since my first hatch was today…. How about you??with everything going on with vaccines these days…..do you trust vaccines for chickens?
The vaccine doesn't stop them from getting and spreading it as far as I know. They just don't usually get the symptoms that cause them to declineI don't see why you wouldn't, if your birds are important to you. The vaccine for Mareks helps stops birds from contracting and or dying from the disease. Why wouldn't you want them to have the best shot (pun intended) they can?
Interesting. I thought it helped prevent them contracting it.The vaccine doesn't stop them from getting and spreading it as far as I know. They just don't usually get the symptoms that cause them to decline
No. I may be wrong, but what I've heard is that they still get it and are carriers and spreaders, but most of then will not die from itInteresting. I thought it helped prevent them contracting it.
But still - if I had a flock that carried Mareks, I'd like to keep my birds alive.
This is correct.No. I may be wrong, but what I've heard is that they still get it and are carriers and spreaders, but most of then will not die from it
