the reason I got my chickens primarily is to eat healthy eggs and meat. I might treat sick chickens when they are still young but I am considering to cull them instead of treating. at the moment I have less chickens then before and they all are healthy - what a relief. I must admit that marek's is not a threat where I live. IB and tapeworms are.

I don't see why you wouldn't, if your birds are important to you. The vaccine for Mareks helps stops birds from contracting and or dying from the disease. Why wouldn't you want them to have the best shot (pun intended) they can?
The Marek's vaccine doesn't keep them from contracting the disease. It hides the symptoms.

I get the mareks vaccine, as that is hard to treat and can wipe out your flock. I don't believe that animal vaccines aren't quite the political cash cow that human vaccines can be so I don't see why not.
Do you like creating controversial threads for your entertainment or do you actually care?
Both

I buy them vaccinated, and the ones I hatch idk since my first hatch was today…. How about you??
No I wouldn’t get them vaxxed. I had a cat that needed dental surgery, the vet insisted on him getting all his shots first, so I caved. The cat has one problem after another ever since. Could it be unrelated? I suppose….. but if you look into the history of vaccines, I think you might find what I did. Vaccines have never been about health…..it’s about money.

My cat's had all her shots, & never had a problem.
