Do your hens do this?

I think its the nest building thing mine are so picky they move the straw around pick out a piece throws it on the floor then the next one will pick up straw from the floor and put it in the next box they are funny they have to have the nest just so before they lay their eggs.

I work at a nature center that has a Bobwhite quail exhibit. The quail do that too! Even the male quail. It has something to do with the nests but I'm not sure if they are trying to build the nest or cover themselves up. It IS really cute and funny!
