Doe starting to nest, but it's only day 17

Is it too soon to add the nest box?

I keep nest boxes in with my does year round whether they're breed or not. I've never had any problems with it. Personally, I'd add a nest box for her. Is this her first litter or is she an older doe? If so, that could be why she's wanting to nest already.

I'd love to see pics when the littles get here.

She's two years old, but it's been about a year since her last litter.

ok, she's probably just trying to get back in the swing of things. I won't worry too much. Worst thing worst, she pulls out ALL of her chest hair but even that's pretty easily fixed once she delivers the babies.

Yes rabbits.
I was pointing out that a rabbit pulling fur for a nest is no different than a chicken pulling breast feathers.

Day 17 is pretty early - I'd suspect a false pregnancy.

She lifted for the buck three times during the breeding session, and I palpated a few days ago and definitely felt something in there.
