They can tell when something is wrong?? How??Could also be there is something wrong with the white eggs depending on how late incubation wise they're being kicked out.

No clue. But they regularly will get rid of bad eggs and eggs that otherwise would never have popped and hatched on their own. They can tell when something is wrong?? How??
Because that's the answerAll you said was “no” lol
Broody chickens regularly hatch turkey, duck, or pheasant eggs. Mine never hatch their own eggs, I don't start colleting eggs to give them until the hen has proven to be broody and has quit laying. My eggs might be brown, blue, or green. I've never seen any correlation between the color of an egg she lays and the eggs that my hens will hatch. Can a hen tell which eggs SHE herself laid, or do hens only recognize an egg as an egg? If there’s a communal nest box for example, does a hen know which eggs she laid in a pile of other eggs?
Just out of curiosity, how many times has this happened with that one hen? How many eggs were involved? Have you seen this behavior with any other hen?One of my hens always kicks the white eggs out of the nest and onto the floor.
