Does any one else wish BYC had spell check?

Hmmm, strange, I've NEVER had any problem reading ANY post on this forum. Wonder what your problem is.

I do try to spell, but I've decided that words are not my friends. Sadly my speaking is often worse than my typing.... I can usually pronounce just fine if I can say the right words in the right order.

Spell-check would be nice, but I think it makes me lazy. It also makes my handwritten papers look terrible because I can't spellcheck them and I never truely learn the words.

When my buttons stick i don't always realize it until after i post it. I understand the whole texy ebonic's thing but a few misspelled ,lol words isn't gonna kill you! And your right it is a public form and people can post what they want, bad spelling and all. Chillax~

You were the one who championed the cause of bad grammar, so please do not critique mine. You can't have it both ways.

Also, I don't have any problems. You may ask yourself the same question.

ETA- I am not rude enough to point out people's mistakes to them. My complaint is a general one and not directed at anyone specifically. Manners are something else one should have learned by 5th grade.

The browser google chrome has built in spell check every where. It's great. If it thinks a word is misspelled it will underline it in red so you can go back and check it. If you right click on the underlined word it gives you options. It's pretty cool!

I don't recall saying that it was going to kill me. I was stating my opinion on the topic just like you and everyone else. Why am I the one who needs to chillax? Is it because I don't agree with the majority who think language doesn't matter? Let them chillax.

As long as people can understand what the post is about..i dont understand what the big deal is? Who cares, really? Whats it to you? I've only found a VERY few posts that i had no clue what the person was talking about...*and they're mostly mine.*

I think some people have to ask themselves what their problem is? Why so bitter and jaded about everything? Again...as long as you can understand the post...whats the big deal to you? If you know your grammer good...GREAT!

But what do you get out of putting others down? Ask yourself that, first. Thats REALLY the issue here..

I try to spell and use proper grammer as much as I can. You see, I am from Missouri. After reading these types of posts I always go back and try to make things right.

To a point of being paranoid to send.

I usually have 3 or 4 tabs up at a time and type overly fast and usually have a kid or two talking/tugging on me so my spelling may not be perfect and I can get everything out pretty well enough I think....after all this is a backyard chicken site and not some high society prim and proper have to be type place.....I haven't ever had any trouble figuring out what others have said either.

I doubt I would even use the spell check
