does anybody have any rabbit questions

you don't need to but you should let them have a little relation ship together though

my poor bunny had that tooth problem..it was 140 dollars to have the teeth fixed and his little nails trimmed and a test for worms. they said it was from eating too much bagged food and not enough timothy hay.

Rabbits have induced ovulation. The buck induces it while breeding.

Yes, I checked her genitals. Bred twice, he fell like a drunk little boy, 2nd time i've bred this pair together. Was just not meant to be. I will try again this weekend

I put my buck and does together, let them breed two-three times. Then 2-4 hours later, I put the doe back in with him for a couple more times. I heard some people waiting up to eight hours between breeding. The thought behind this is that while the first session induces ovulation, the second will be more fertile. However, I've a couple young does that accepted the buck, and 31 days later, nothing. In other words, just because they let him do his thing, it doesn't mean she's old enough to get pregnant. I had another doe that I put with the buck almost daily for several months before she let him breed. I had made up my mind to put her in the stew pot, but thought maybe one more time, and boom. She was almost eight months old when she finally bred. She has turned out to be my best mother, go figure!

We usually breed the doe twice, about 4-6hours apart. We don't leave our does in with the bucks for long after they mate to keep the buck safe. We did have one doe that bit one of our bucks. She obviously was a little annoyed with him. We don't bring her back to the buck more than twice because it can increase the number of kits she can have.
