does anyone collect Beanie Babies?

Ugh I do not want even to hear someone say beanie babies!! I used to run the Beanies Forum for MSN...lets just not talk about how many I had, how many stores I stalked...what was I thinking!!!
I gave a lot away to a church going on a missions trip for the kids in another country. I do not think ANY of them are worth anything much, not worth the effort it is to post it and pay for ebays crazy charges.

LOL!!! I totally agree with you! And good idea about missions trips...my parents are getting ready to go on a mission's trip to Canada to rehab an orphanage...I think my 50+ beanie babies will find a loving home there!

With SO MANY....Beanie Babies that were sold, there is really no way that they could become collectors items. When anything is sold as a colector's item, it hardly ever becomes one. Baseball cards.......the only one's that are really worth anything are the "rookie" cards of players that became stars! Same with about any sport cards. If you really want something that is a collectors item, either it has to be produced in small numbers, it's something that at the time no one really bought into it(VW's the Thing auto)for example, an original item that died out but was revived by a new interest (Spider-man figures, metal lunch boxes of comic figures). It's the things that you do not expect to become collector's items , that do.

I still collect them! I just like to have them for the most part and I've been trying to collect the horses.

What kinds of horses/reptiles/birds do ya'll have? Let me know how much you are selling them for! I only buy one or two here and there. Never got into it for the money or the "collector" aspect of it! My mom just started buying them for me years ago! LOL Lemme know what ya have though.
