You're flicking through the catalogues, trying to work out what to buy the family for christmas, and you see a kids playhouse...

first thing that crosses your mind... "hmm well if I put some wire across the windows, a low board across the front to keep some wood shavings in, little bit of a run, chuck in a silkie or two... I think I just made a new pen for hatching babies...!!!"

When DH, the dog and I were on our Sunday afternoon ride, I kept looking in all the back yards for playhouses. Couldn't even keep up a conversation.

Oh, I haven't progressed to that stage yet... I'm still thrilled every time I happen to see a coop, or anything in somebody's yard I THINK is a coop.

Since I'm alone when I drive, there's nobody in the car to hear me say, "Whoa... wonder if they'd let me come look at that....."

Suffice to say, any chicken I see anywhere ALSO draws my attention.

looking for a new place to live and looking for coops in the naibors yards and yes I saw a play house yesterday in a back yard and wondered when the little darling will be done using it so I can scoop it up for a coop de grandure hostal.

OMG! I do that all the time, any shed, shack, pile of wood, I see . think how can I get that and turn it into a coop. I havent told any of my friends!

Lol I live in suburbia boardering farm land and when we go for drives I try and spot a coop but I haven't seen many. And yes I see a cubby house and think hmmm I'd like that for a pretty coop. Hubby says why are you looking at cubby houses our kids are too old for that now and I just giggle and he knows

He thinks I should live on a farm and I really wish I did. I'd love to be able to have more chickens a few pigs a goat a horse a shhep or two......man I want a farm.

You guys are a riot! I've been looking at this giant box we have in the shop that some car parts came in, thinking "how can I make this into a coop?" The fact is, it's too big to be a tractor (which I need) so don't be surprised to see it posted on the forum soon!
