Does anyone else feel guilty eating chicken in front of your chickens?

Not crazy. I feel weird when I'm throwing chk breast on the grill.

They DO look at me funny when I fire up the grill. I just tell them "its no one they know"

I love chickens all kinds. Living, fried, broiled, stewed. BUT I can't eat mine I know them. My husband loves eggs and cooked chicken but will not eat eggs and chicken together you figure it. I said what about grilled chicken and potatoe salad. He said he will do pork n beans. I guess its the mental part of before and after a life of a chicken.

The first night the chicks were in the house I made chicken'n'dumplin's for dinner and it felt kinda wrong. I mentioned it to DBF and he laughed and pointed out that in a few months we would also be stealing all their unborn children.....
