That's funny, because my "drake" lays eggs.
Lots of people thought this was a drake:

New question! Does anyone trim their ducks’ nails/claws? In good, or at least decent, weather, my ducks keep their nails at a good length. However, they’ve spent lot of time in the barn recently in their deep bedding trying not to freeze and I noticed that their nails are a bit longer than usual. In particular, the back nails on my Rouen’s feet are begging to be trimmed. Is this a weird thing to do?

Do drakes ever settle down a bit for mating season? I have 2 three year old drakes, and 3 girls 2 years old.

I’m considering getting more females, but everyone is getting along now, and I don’t really want to upset the flock.

Is it necessary to keep Jumbo Pekins on food restrictions? I have a massive recently rescued drake and don’t want his weight getting out of hand. When I rescued him he was underweight and his legs were weak, but he’s made a great recovery. Now that he’s back on track, should I limit feeding amounts?
