Does anyone have funny quirks about themselves like:

okay, a little bit of O.C.D. here. hehe.
I have to touch the railing when I go up the stairs.
My door has to be closed when I go to bed.
I have to step over cracks in a certain order, one foot, then the other.

I eat m&m's in raibow order in sets of 3.

Nope...I eat the ones with the most color first, until the amount is equal to the least (like until 3 of each color) and then I eat them...in sets of one of each color.

I always assumed i was the only m&m lunatic. Apparantly I'm not alone.

Ew! I never touch the railing! You don't know who did before you!!

Worse, you don't know what they were touching before they were touching the railing that you are now touching...

Or......you can rub had sanitizer on it every single time you use it(which I don't.)

I don't have most of the OCD things listed here. In fact, I am perfectly comfortable in a nice, mild chaos. I do have a few quirks though...

I need to be able to put one foot out from under the covers at night. It helps to regulate my temperature. Too hot, stick a foot out. Getting cool, pull said foot in.

I need to have water available at all times. I will not leave the house without water. Once I have water, I will not finish the water. Then I would not have any more water. Drives DP crazy as I will then put a bottle with 1/2 inch of water back in the fridge. It will be consumed eventually. Usually right before I need to grab another water.

I used to care about the toilet paper being hung the correct way (under). When DP and I got together, I had the horrible discovery that she was an "over" person. We battled it out for a few months, each switching the roll back to the way we liked it. I realized I had met the most stubborn person in the world when she one day installed a second TP hanger! (Of course, she picked the wrong one to be the "over" roll.) Now I don't even pay attention to which way it hangs.

I'm pretty easy going with regards to food, with the exception of a small matter with M&M's.

I'm still suspicious of the red ones.
When I was a kid, there was no such thing as a red M&M. The red dye was deemed hazardous by the food and drug administration. Then all of the sudden... red M&Ms were ok for consumption.

Why? Was a new, safer red dye discovered? Or maybe, just maybe, the corporate powers that be, pulled some strings and got the rules relaxed. A higher number of cancerous deaths, via red M&Ms, was now deemed acceptable in return for higher sales?

Mind you... I still eat the red ones. I'm just suspicious of them. But chocolate is chocolate!

The order is of no concern, other than not eating two red ones in a row, so as the noxious food coloring can be more safely metabolized by my liver.

I probably have lots of quirks. Lots of things that I do that I don't Have to, but life is a much more secure place when I do. Such as Always locking the bathroom door when I am in there - even if no one is home; especially if no one is home. Always sleeping with at least one dog in my bedroom and preferably with one down stairs as well. Sleeping with the window open at least a crack so that I can hear the chickens and dogs. Pre-washing the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher - I think of my dishwasher as a sanitizer more than a dishwasher. All the towels in my house, regardless of type or color get washed in HOT water with detergent and chlorine bleach. And the most recent quirk - processed foods are starting to gross me out; Why do we need all those chemicals and dyes and corn syrups and stuff like that?! Yuck.

Oh, and when I go traveling with others I feel claustrophobic if the hotel room gets cluttered with clothes and shoes and stuff everywhere. It seriously makes me irritable.

I could probably go on, but I'll stop here.

No as in red only in sets of 3, then orange... down to brown. any orphained m&m's are left till the end where I eat them in blended groups of 3, also in rainbow order. I once had a boss who messed up said order by grabbing a handful of m&m's.....

When I explained there was an order involved and why he transferred me to accounting. Within a year I was dept. head, so it seems being fussy about rules has cash perks.

Green M&M's produced (according to my pre-teen aged friends waaaay back years ago) "AMOROUS" feelings... and as a kid, I didn't want to feel "amorous" so to this day, I don't want to appear either amorous or to need assistance in the matter, so I just avoid them or eat them when no one is looking.
I did vote on blue M&M's so I eat them first.
I check my pockets at least twice for keys... just to make sure they didn't jump out.
