A friend overheard me saying in a conversation that I wish I had a Black Chicken. Low and behold she brought this beauty for me. She does not know the breed nor do I. She's small so i would say she's a Bantam, but what breed?
    Can anyone help me here?
By the way, her name is Cokes and she laid her first egg today!!!

No expert, and probably wrong but guessing anyhow, Black Leghorn. Looks like my white ones. What color was the egg ? Leghorns will lay white eggs.

    Do Leghorns come in Black?

    Now for the experts.

The egg was brown...I don't think she's a pure breed, I think my friend said the mother was brown in colour and the father was Jet Black.

She looks like a mixed game hen to me.

She's a Game alright. She'll make an awesome mom if you ever want chicks.

-looks very similar to our black Old English Game Bantam pullet, except ours has black legs. I'd say it is a game mix.

The comb is VERY small almost imperceptible, legs are yellow and black.
