I've heard several theories: March, June, or September, as well as somewhere between 6 and 4 BC, rather than year 0.I thought it was some time in January? At least I thought that’s what I heard a while ago but might be wrong hahah

That is exactly how we do it. Most of us have the day off and take full advantage of the ability to gather the majority of the family for dinner and company. We usually eat, catch up and play cards. The only gifts exchanged are at my house for my children.I popped in just to say I celebrate being with family. We call it Christmas, but for us it's really not - because actually celebrating Christmas seems to have some strings attached lol.
