Does anyone use the nipple water drinkers?

From my experience they find and use the nipples on their own very quickly. Some people say to dip their beaks in the water. I never did

Our chickens love using the nipple watering system! We recommend hooking them to a gravity flow system such as a five gallon bucket or a rain barrel.

Quick question:
Is it safe to use acv in these nipples what with the metal "rod" in the nipple? I imagine it's okay and the acidity doesn't cause issues, but just need to confirm before we add acv into the water.
Thanks!

i have two 5gal buckets with three of the nipples in each but havent seen the chickens use them had the roo using it when i was holding him but thats the only time. anyone have any tips to train them

If you have a water bowl just take it away and the chickens will start using the nipples

I don't think there's enough metal in the nipples to matter one way or the other.

Question about these horizontal watering nipples on ebay.... I don't find anything when I search specifically for horizontal ones, but many that read 360' watering nipples, can I assume this 360 degree ones are essentially the same as horizontal ones?, if not maybe send me a link from ones you found on ebay, I think I'd like to find a lot of 50, just so I have spares should I need to replace

I am not sure how to get the Ducks AND chickens to use the nipples. We just put it in their temporary coop and the duck tried and left it. The chickens, even when we put their beak to it, still haven't gone to the nipples after eating. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
