does eye color indicate breed at all?

I have chickens with golden eyes and chickens with black eyes...does this indicate anything breed-wise?

I would say no unless it's a breed that is supposed to have a certain eye color, like silkies. They are supposed to have black eyes. I would think there were standards for others as well, but I'm not sure.

I have 2 black bantam cochins and the roo has lovely golden eyes and the hen has black eyes that remind me of a shark... but so long as it doesnt mean shes something ELSE or something silly then I am all good

Typically the same color variety of the same breed should have the same eye color.

Is that because they aren't "perfected" yet? Is it common? Will they pass it on?
I like the black eyes better- they look less intimidating.​
