Does Ivermectin work for poultry lice/louse?

I’ve seen conflicting information on whether Ivermectin will kill poultry lice since lice don’t feed on blood but rather dead skin/feathers.
So has anyone tried Ivermectin for lice and had good results?
I’ve been having trouble getting rid of a pretty bad lice infestation, I’ve been using permethrin 10 concentrate spray every week for 2 months but they still keep coming back so I’m trying to figure out some different options.

I chose not to use Ivermectin for the same reason. My hen had North Western Pacific Poultry lice (they were confined to the skin's surface and feathers) and I used poultry dust - it's permethrin in a powdered form. It worked after 3 applications - waiting about 5 to 7 days between each application...it's been a year now and the lice have not come back.
Try the powdered form before you try something else.

Dust under their wings (arm pit) vent area ... Like salting a roast I dust my girls with Garden & Poultry Dust monthly ... hate mites/lice

That's right - ChickNanny is right. Just as thorough a dusting as you can muster...get in worked in - under the wings, between their legs - and especially in the vent area...

See post #10 in this link regarding lice. You have to remove lice eggs from feather shafts with coconut oil or the lice will keep coming back re-infesting your birds and coop.
