Does my duck coop need windows?

What size is the coop? I’d say yes to windows for light and ventilation. Don’t forget hardware cloth!

Well, it needs ventilation if that's what you're asking. A coop without ventilation will be very stinky in the morning and heighten the risk of many diseases within your flock.

It has 3 ventilation holes. But do they need large light windows?

You coop does not need windows.

It does need some type of window. Look at that link I gave you to see how easy you can make a window or 2 in your coop. Where do you live @Duck Joe. Also a picture of your coop too please.

I think I will buy a window with wire and glass so I can close it in the winter because it gets cold here, but I will keep it open during the summer for ventilation.

Perfect! Make sure the wire is hardware cloth, 1/4inch.
