does My Pet Chicken send shipment confirmation and tracking numbers?

I thought I posted to this thread earlier.... Let me try again:
I wish I had seen this thread yesterday. The usps needs to do a much better job when shipping live chicks. Yesterday was an absolute nightmare. I have never been so stressed, worried, depressed, scared, mad, excited, happy, exhausted in my entire life.

MPC shipped the chicks as promised April 7th.
I did my part by speaking to the post office twice before they shipped so they would know to expect them. I got tracking updates Monday night until 11:00pm. Then nothing. They said due by 12:00pm Tuesday. I called the PO Tuesday morning at 6:00am they had no idea where they were. Luckily the gentleman at my local PO was wonderful. He spent all day calling every PO he could think of. No one had them. The chicks were MIA from 11:00pm Monday till 6:00pm Tuesday.

At 5:57pm Tuesday I finally got an update that they had arrived at the Brockton center 30 minutes away. Unfortunately they closed at 6:00. I thought I would have to wait till Wednesday morning. Since my local PO guy had already called Brockton earlier in the day, they knew I was looking for them. They called me at 6:10 and gave me similar instructions that Beriel got. Go where the trucks are ring a bell. Sure enough at 6:51 I had the chicks.

If it hadn't been for John at my local PO I'm sure Brockton would have just shipped them for Wednesday morning.

I wish a local breeder could sex bantams. That is why I went with MPC.

The usps really needs to do a better job. Don't give a 12:00pm delivery time if you aren't going to meet it. Understand these are living creatures. They need to get to their homes ASAP. Not sit in a warehouse for hours on end.

@sled483, I agree with your entire post above! Yesterday was the worst day!!! If it hadnt been for my calling around all day I would have gotten mine 10+hrs later than I did.

THE CHICKS ARE HERE OHOHOHO :weee They're all peeping and wandering around. They've gulped down a lot of water and are trying out the starter feed! None of them had pasty butt and they've all pooped so far. Whenever they get too loud, I just shove them under the brooder lol. They'd disappear for like five minutes and then come out to play. Good right? Obligatory pictures: Left: Buff Brahma; Right: Mottled Cochin Easter Eggers! Left: very photogenic chick who likes to pose, Right: a cuddler, Both: I'm super excited how they'll turn out! Little black silkie Group shots (Left: silkie + cochin) And my cute dog who looked confused the whole time (where's that peeping coming from?) The silkie and the cinnamon-y easter egger are the smallest of the bunch. I was so surprised to see how small banty chicks were! How cute =D Apparently the PO did try to call me at 4AM and 9AM and tried to leave me voice mail. I didn't receive a single call :/ BUT I'm just glad they're all alive~ Thanks fiddle! I'll do that immediately.
Congrats, they're adorable!

I have ordered from MPC three times, they ship out on Monday and I have always gotten my chicks the next day in upstate SC. never received a tracking number or email unless that is something new, always been happy they are great!
