I don’t know the Pirgos olives. Are these olives just the same as Kalamata olives? Most olives I have been eating in greece were black and less tasty than the Kalamata’s or Kalamata look a like). .

Let's start here. I hate olives. Anyways I did some research (you peeps got me doing research on frigging olives). As I predicted. They're found all across the Peloponnese. As for the olives you ate while in Greece @BDutch , I'm sorry but I have no clue, for I do not eat olives
