This baby had been going at it all morning. It is yawning and chewing some still. That means it’s still absorbing right? My question is does the brown colored membrane look ok? He does look very wet.

Ok I will try. I don’t have any coconut oil but I do have some conditioner.
It looks a little dry. You could dip your finger in some water and rub it on the membrane and see if that helps. You'll notice when it softens up.
And some vegetable and olive oil. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It is trying really hard to get out. Pushing and what not. But the shell just isn’t giving

Alright so I helped it a little and now it has its foot out. But it’s yolk is sorta leaking out a little. I’m a little worried. It’s trying really hard

That's what happens when trying to help too soon.

Put it back and leave it alone.
Someone else said the membrane looked dry so I wet it a little. It now has its foot out. Do they typically breath really hard and fast?
They do breathe hard and fast as it is an enormous effort to move within the really small confines of an egg. But they'll do just fine, all they need is time.

Honestly it looked normal to me. If yolk is leaking out that means it wasn't really even ready to come out and still isn't. Since it is leaking that means the yolk sack is broken which is incredibly dangerous for the chick. But honestly I don't see any leaking yolk in the pic so I think it's fine as long as you leave it alone.

Well what do I do???!!! All I did was wet it a little and it pushed through more on its own
