Does the floating egg test work at high altitude?

I'm at 6800 feet and I use the floating egg test.

Both, but definitely not for eating. After any more than a week, eggs won't develop well. I think 10 days is the max for incubating old eggs.
Grocery store eggs may be weeks old, but they still won't float.

Put eggs in a sink covered in cold water - if it stand on its end, it is so-so, if it floats it is bad, if it lays down on the bottom it is fresh.
