Yep go slow, peel a little then wait a second sometimes they'll kick out on their own while you're assisting so take your time.

I just assisted 2 shrink wrapped chicks (incubator issues) and it helps to have a small bowl of warm water and a q-tip nearby so you can slowly rehydrate the membrane as you peal. Mine popped out before I even finished and like the other poster said, they need to sleep so put them back in the incubator and shut the lights off and let them sleep for a few hours and dry off before fussing with it more.

The chick is out! It appeared the membrane had dried somewhat, and it wasn't until I started to pull that back that the chick was able to break free. So far so good.Thank you everyone!
