Does This Half Blind Rooster Need His Beak Trimmed?

This is Larry! He had his eye pecked by a young roo that fought dirty (sent to freezer camp). It occurred in early November. Nowadays Larry stays in a rabbit hutch since he'll just hide all day otherwise.

Wondering if his beak is at the filing stage or if a cutting is called for?

It doesn't look overgrown to me. 🤷‍♀️ can you put a cement paver or something in the hutch so he has something to file his beak on himself?
Maybe? I'm currently working on getting him his own coop (maybe enough room for 2 or 3 of his ladies too) so he might be a bit more active. I had to trim his nails a bit already, I thought his beak was looking a little long too

Not the best picture, but it shows his beak length a bit more

Can he access a dustbath? It would help his plumage too.
I try to let him out of the rabbit hutch for at least 30 minutes very day (supervised).

He used to be the 2nd highest ranked rooster in the flock before the incident. Since he lost his eye he's a lot more jumpy, so he might run around a little if something/someone unexpectedly comes in his limited field of vision. The other roosters will chase him because of this behavior, unfortunately. I had a 4ft x 8ft chicken tractor, but the wood frame rotted. Working on rebuilding it so he can wear down his own beak/claws and dustbathe.

Got a dog kennel put together today (6ft x 10ft x 20ft). Going to finish furnishing it on Sunday. I let him test it out today with a few silkie ladies and he seemed to like it! The other roosters walked in front of the kennel and he didn't run around one bit

The very first thing he did was drink some puddle water 🤦

Going on day 3 in the kennel. As soon as I let them out this morning Larry started dancing his little heart out for his ladies. He's really getting back in the groove of acting like a rooster again ❤️
