this is my muscovy duck who im hoping turns out to be a hen [IMG]
when i got her she was one month old and was the smallest of the other 1 month old muscovy ducks. so that will give me a pretty good chance she is a hen right?

Quote:Yes she does look like a female both in face and in body shape (drakes tend to be more robust and have longer bodies than muscovy ducks) She is a real good looker too!

Quote:Usually around 6 months but if that falls in cold weather she might delay a bit. the mating and laying of muscovies are driven by the temperature much more than other domestic ducks which are driven by day length.
