Thank you for the welcomes also... yes the flock is pretty young... no eggs yet, but I've been thinking it may be soon... hatched mid June and their combs have really started getting bigger and redder. The cockerel (can I still call him that, same age?) finally figured out how to crow a week or so ago, but I haven't seen him do the deed yet with the ladies. I thought it was kinda cool that she (her name is Sprocket) did it as she seems to be the dominant pullet. She did it to me again today out in the run... I was bringing treats and visiting and reached out to pet her and she squatted.
