Does your chickens try to eat your toes?

My buff polish really like, and will try to remove BUTTONS.

Yeah, my chickens have a button fetish too. I swear some of them have even learned the word because I've said "no, its a BUTTON, you can't eat it" so many times.

I rarely go barefoot - but my husband sometimes does, and has opened the coop and let our 11 free rangers out no problem. This morning, though, he came back in the house for a moment and then went outside again. The not so nice roo, Big Bird, raced towards him and CHOMPED the top of his foot, near his ankle! Not sure if he thought my DH had treats or if he was attacking him. DH says he's not going out again until the chickens leave the front of the house, too dangerous, lol!

I don't blame your DH for not venturing out right now. That had to have hurt!

We have a chicken named (Foot Chicken) because she's always after our feet. No open toes in our coop, hurts too much!

My chickens just stand on my feet. They rarely peck. My turkey poults however, are a different story..........
