Dog at work problem

A leash does nothing to correct a biting habit. She should wear a muzzle which I consider the least action to take with this dog.

I would not take the dog for a walk, it is the owners duty.

Exactly, the poor dog doesn't deserve to be punished just because she's owned by a dumbass. She sounds like a smart dog with a lot of potential, too bad her owner is the opposite.
Better a food junkie than a punishment junkie, which seems like the only type of attention she ever gets from Mr. Entitled.
Dogs, especially those that have been abused, dont understand the difference between positive and negative attention and just want. You've gotta make positive attention more desirable. Every book Ive read about dog training says to only focus on positive attention. Either way after I get this dog trained to stop jumping on me I'm asking for a raise. Because, after all, I trained your stupid dog for you:gig

I wish I lived near you, because after having had many dogs, including herding dogs and difficult/abused/untrained rescues, we would love a Corgi mix!

I'd be willing to bet any amount of money that he's going to be getting rid of this dog soon, claiming she's crazy and uncontrollable - but the real reason will be because you'll have showed him up by being able to get through to the dog's mind when his lazy-ass couldn't bother.

Boss should have his dog in a crate or kennel unless he is directly supervising and controlling her. Most dogs don't enjoy being on duty all day - the crate is a safe place for the dog to relax but still benefit from being at work. Tie outs build aggression in many dogs and are used in training to do so for working dogs. This dog does not belong lose or tied in the workplace, in my opinion. But a crate may be a solution that works for everyone.

I never said to spray it... I said the dog could probably smell it well enough to keep away without that.

I don't understand.. do you not have an HR rep? OSHA?

I really would NOT be training someone else's dog. I'd rather call animal control. I doubt the dog is having fun sitting in an office all day.
