Dog at work problem

Well that makes it messy at best.

If you can talk to the owners about your concerns about her nipping a delivery person and potential lawsuits that would be a start.

Corgis are a herding dog. With no training/job to do they can be prone to herding people and yes that includes nipping.
That would explain it. Maybe I should suggest they give her something to do to keep her busy like a bone or a herding ball?

I feel for you! At a former job, my boss started with one and eventually had 3 small yippy snippy dogs at the office almost every day. She would travel and expected our office manager to take care of them and keep them over night and they were not terribly well potty-trained either. We were a small office and she was the boss and there was no recourse for me other than quit. Her one dog bit delivery people, my son and a co-worker's son. Never enough to really do real damage but still! It was awful and there was no way around it because she's the boss and didn't see it as a problem. I love dogs and all animals but I hate people who don't know how to be a good owner. Sorry you're dealing with it and I hope the grandparents put their foot down at some point. Maybe it will take one of them getting bit to get them to act.

I've been trying to train the dog when I'm there to stop this behavior but its tough because its not consistent since I only work twice a week. I do know tgat what they are doing which is just yelling at her is NOT working. Ive taken to letting my work pile up on my desk and turning it in all at once so I only have to deal with it once or twice. But this makes my proofreader backed up and then I'm sitting at my desk playing solitare until she can get back to me on changes. Its just not working. I dont want to quit this job over this dog because I really do love working there.

Honestly if you can tell them that they they could be sued then that could help. If you can make him think that he will loose money over the dog them taht is a good way to go (and from the sound of it you will not have to ben the truth very far.)

Is there a way you could convince them to crate her? Or maybe an exercise pen with a bit more space. That way she could have toys or such to keep her occupied.
Sounds like she's a problem and it could potentially get worse. Biting is no joke and even if it's "just a nip" - if they break skin you're technically supposed to go to the doctor's and report it (at least here). If a dog gets multiple reports it usually doesn't end well for the dog. I'm surprised the delivery person didn't report the dog.

The grandfather has pointed that out to my boss. Even then he just says "I know thats why shes on a leash". I'm thinking my best course of action here might be to just be honest and say "this isnt working" and suggest she have a short leash and confined to his cubicle. Maybe he might think this is unfair but hopefully that means he will stop bringing her into work with him.

Ive worked here over a year now and she has only recently started this nipping which is why I'm now frustrated. Nipping is never good because nipping begets mouthing and biting. The delivery driver was luckily a dog person and wasnt injured. We have had a few customers shes barked at that have made a comment that shes a liability. Apparently if he leaves her alone in the house though she pees everywhere so his solution was to just bring her with him everywhere. This dog clearly has seperation anxiety issues. I had to go through that with my rescue but we crate trained her and now shes better and no longer pees in the house.

You are in an impossible situation. He feels entitled and you have to bare the brunt of his immaturity. The grandparents are just as much responsible because they do not hold him to any standards and are willing to put their business up as collateral. I would walk out the next time she nips at you and tell them you are going to have the bite evaluated at the clinic. Make them sweat.
Does the dog walk on a leash and does she enjoy walks? I'd take her for a walk at lunch if that's an option.

I dont think Ive ever met a dog that didnt enjoy a walk. I also dont think its really my responsibility to entertain his dog. I dont get paid enough as is. Maybe I should demand a raise for having to deal with the dog
